Barbara and I were good friends for over 40 years. Both aquarians, me 02 feb and she was 12 Feb. We just
clicked from day one and had some great laughs along the way. In no particular order the stories range from being my partner in a darts match and we suggested arriving in fancy dress to have a giggle, imagine my
face when she turned up as boy george!, she looked brilliant and we laughed all night long. On another
occassion i convinced her to come on a works outing to amsterdam for a long weekend, she was a bit
apprehensive as she said she didn’t know anyone, well, she got on the coach on friday evening, met another woman who had just lost her partner and next minute they were laughing ang joking and the next tine we
saw here was on the return journey monday morning. We did not see them all weekend, apparently
they got on so well they shared a few bottles of brandy and didnt venture out at all.
I introduced barbara to golf just after she had lost alan and she later admitted to me that was a life saver for her. We had many rounds together and i forget to tell her about the ladies tee for over 2 years, she wasnt impressed when i told her that she had been playing off the mens tee for ages, we both laughed about it and by the end she was outdriving me anyway.
She was the original marmite person..... you know what i mean.
Such a lovely friend to me and i shall miss her very much.
